Do Something Fun

Knitting, crocheting, and embroidery: These are all meditative crafts that reward patience and perfectionism. At their highest levels, they truly become art forms.

Those are not my kind of crafts.

Patience is a virtue, but not one of mine. I like a good project I can do in a few sittings, over a few glasses of wine with friends. I want to make something. I don’t necessarily want to learn something complicated after a long day.

These are projects that most 7+ children and all adults can do and do well. Most of all, they are fun. Do with them your kids, your bridal party, your book club, or in a cozy chair with your dog. I

Follow the kits to the tee or branch out on your own and tap into that part of yourself that remembers how absorbing it can be just to play with clay and glue.

Most of all, have fun.
